In FIS, awards are split into five categories: Command, Personal Achievement, Gaming, Diplomacy and Non-Medal.
Command Awards

General of FIS Award - GFA
The General of FIS Award is to recognize a member of FIS who has impressed the General of FIS enough that the person deserves one of the three highest awards that FIS has to offer. This award is given out on rare occasions, and is rarely seen. If a member is awarded this medal, this person deserves high respect, as the General of FIS can only give this medal out.

Medal of Honor - MH
This award is the highest award FIS has, apart from the General of FIS Award. This award is to show everyone that the winner of this award has proven themselves to be an excellent example of a clan member. This person has proven to be an invaluable asset to FIS. Their determination to get tasks accomplished, lead by example, and to go above and beyond what their job asks of them, makes this member a perfect clan member. This award is rarely given out.

General's Award - GA
The General's Award is to recognize a member of FIS who has impressed the General enough that the person deserves one of the three highest awards that FIS has to offer. This award is given out on rare occasions, and is rarely seen. If a member is awarded this medal, this person deserves high respect, as the General can only give this medal out.

Lieutenant General's Award - LGA
The Lieutenant General's Award is to recognize a member of FIS who has impressed the Lieutenant General enough that the person deserves one of the three highest awards that FIS has to offer. This award is given out on rare occasions, and is rarely seen. If a member is awarded this medal, this person deserves high respect, as the Lieutenant General can only give this medal out.

Grand Achievement Award - GA
This award is to signify that the recipient has been awarded 50 Achievement Awards. The member can no longer accept Achievement Awards.

Decoration of Excellence - DOE
This awards is issued by any member of Command. It signifies that the member has proved themselves a dedicated, respected and trustworthy member of the Fleet. Holders of this award are held in high regard by Command. The individual can only demonstrate the qualities required over a long period of time. It is rarely awarded.

Superior Service Medal - SSM
The Superior Service Medal shall be awarded only to members of FIS who, after June 8, 2006, rendered superior meritorious service in a position of significant responsibility. Only under the most unusual circumstances will a Superior Service Medal be awarded as an impact award for outstanding achievement. The Superior Service Medal is specifically intended to recognize exceptionally superior service, and to honor an individual's accomplishments over a sustained period. A minimum of 3 Officers must reccomend this medal for one person.

Donation Medal Gold - DMG
The Donation Medal Gold shall be awarded to anyone who has donated an accumulated $200 USD or more to FIS.

Donation Medal Silver - DMS
The Donation Medal Silver shall be awarded to anyone who has donated an accumulated $26 - $199 USD to FIS.

|
Donation Medal Bronze - DMB
The Donation Medal Bronze shall be awarded to anyone who has donated $25 USD or less to FIS.

Personal Achievement Awards
|
FIS Honor Award - FHA
The FIS Honor Award is awarded for exemplary behavior, efficiency, and fidelity in active service while in FIS. It is awarded on a selective basis to each member who distinguishes himself from among his/her fellow members by their exemplary conduct, efficiency, and fidelity throughout a specified period of continuous active service in FIS.

Saggitarius Aculara - SA
The Saggitarius Aculara may be awarded to members of FIS below the grade of Brigadier General who, while serving in any capacity within FIS, distinguish themselves by heroism, outstanding achievement, or by meritorious service not of a sufficient nature to justify a higher award.

Merit Achievement Bronze, Silver and Gold - MA-B, MA-S and MA-G
These three awards are issued based upon the demonstration of respect, honor and dedication to FIS. These awards are not restricted to just gaming and it is encouraged that members aim to demonstrate these qualities to superior officers at all times.
The bronze award is awarded when one prerequisite has been met, silver for two, and finally gold when all three are demonstrated. The individuals who hold the gold award embody what it means to be a respected member of FIS.

Typhoon Award - TA
Awarded to members of FIS who distinguished themselves by outstanding non-combat meritorious achievement or service to FIS subsequent to June 8, 2006.

Hurricane Award - HA
The Hurricane Award is awarded to all members of FIS without reference to degree for exceptionally meritorious conduct in the performance of outstanding services and achievements. The performance must have been such as to merit recognition of key individuals for service rendered in a clearly exceptional manner. This award must be recomended by at least 2 Officers of FIS.

Cyclone Award - CA
The Cyclone Award may be awarded to recognize single acts of merit or meritorious service. The required achievement or service, while of lesser degree than that required for the Hurricane Award, must nevertheless have been meritorious and accomplished with distinction. This award must be recomended by at least 1 Officer of FIS.

Pulitzer Prize - PP
The Pulitzer Prize is given away monthly to the member who the CO/XO of the Chronicles of FIS believes posted the best story that month.
|
|
Sim Award - SIM
The SIM award is awarded to a person who is very active in the Chronicles of FIS
and the person posts several stories, or a long story, with several chapters.
|
|
Wings of Loyalty - WOL
This is to remember the members who make up FIS, and have remained loyal, diligent, and patient in the time of transition. This award is only given out one time, and will be put on the sigs of everyone here as of May 26, 2006, as well as added to your records.

Wings of Time - WOT
Awarded to FIS members who have been in FIS for a minimum of one year.
|
Gaming Awards
|
Crusader Award - CRU
This award is rarely given out as it requires the individual to demonstrate all three requirements. Not only has the individual shown they are skilled and determined to suceed in their main game, they have demonstrated an outstanding degree of honor as well. These individuals can not be phased in their game. They truely are a prime example of what it means to game with FIS.

Iron Heart - IH
This award is issued as individuals have proven that they are in a league of their own in their chosen game. This is also seen in the way they have continually demonstrated meritorious achievement.

|
Red Sparrow Medal - RS
This award is issued if you have demonstrated that you are skilled in the game you play and always rise above the rest.
|
|
FIS Arrow of Death - FAD
Awarded to a member who is the deadliest in the game they play. They absolutly dominate all the time, and never cheat.

|
Miracle Worker - MW
Awarded to FIS members and visitors for performing a technical miracle on the forum that aided another member, such as helping with a computer issue, and made the receiving member’s day better with the knowledge gained by the guru who supplied it.

|
Top Gun Award - TG
This award is issued only by the CO of Fleet Ladders to an individual who has maintained the top spot of any one ladder for a period of one month. They must have been challenged at lest three times in that month and remained victorious throughout. The award demonstrates that the indivdual is the 'Best of the Best' in that game.

Rescue Me Award - RMA This person has made an incredible play in the game they play. This play was a one of a kind that helped the reporting members team for the better. |

Jedi Master Medal - JM
This award is issued by the CO of JKA to members who obtain the rank of Jedi Master in that game. They have proven that they are competent and reliable. They are respected players with a lot to offer others and the patience to help.

Diplomacy Awards
|
Order of the Fire - OOF
This Diplomat has performed above the expectations of the Diplomacy CO and deserves recognition. This award is only awarded by the Diplomacy CO.

Order of the Ice - OOI
This is awarded to a diplomat for completing a diplomatic treaty with a foreign clan. The diplomat must have organized a game with the clan, made all the initial contact, and have their name on the treaty when signed. This award is given out only by the CO of Diplomacy.

Non-Medal Awards
|
Mentor Ribbon - MR
This is issued to members who have demonstrated to senior officers that they take the time to help new members in any aspect of FIS. They have helped the new members find their way around and shown them the way to be become a model FIS member.

|
Forum Master Ribbon - FM
Issued to individuals who have demonstrated that they know whats what and where everything is and should be on the FIS Forums. They are an extremely active member who also lends a helping hand and advice.

|
Anniversary Ribbon - AR
For being active in the fleet for two years.
|
|
Achievement Award - AA
Award for good deeds carried out in FIS. The Achievement Award, or AA, is represented by a ribbon and a numerical value indicating how many AA's an individual has.

|
Academy Pins - AGP, ASP and ABP
The Academy Pins are awarded to certain members upon graduating the academy.
The bronze pin is awarded for a total of fifteen battle reports while in the academy, while silver is awarded for twenty.
The gold pin requires thirty battle reports, and also recipients of a the gold pin will be promoted to Private First Class, instead of Private, upon leaving nthe academy.

Recruiting Award - RA
Recipients of this ribbon have recruited members into FIS and who have graduated a full member from the academy. Each star on the ribbon represents five recruited members.

|
Scrimmage Ribbon - SR
These ribbonssignify that the member has taken part in a friendly scrim against another clan/fleet.
|
|
Honor Guard - HG
This award is issued only by the Chief of Security. The individual in receipt of this award has demonstrated an oustanding level of service within the J.A.G. Department and is always looking out for the interests of FIS.
